Here's a few things you need to know PRIOR to scheduling:
- Lips MUST be pre-approved for lip tint so please send me photos before you book! (Unfortunately, cooler or very dark lip tones are not suitable for this procedure)
Healing time is quick and easy, just a few days of applying Aquaphor & avoiding spicy foods/swimming/sauna
- the area will be slightly swollen for a day or two (nothing crazy, they will just look plump)
-color is very vibrant for the first 2 days then begins settling in, softening and turning very natural
IMPORTANT!!
-PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING LIP TINTING-
* If you’ve had lip fillers, you MUST wait at least 2 months before getting your lips tattooed
* I recommend everyone to take an anti-viral (Valtrex) 3 days prior to procedure in case the virus is dormant. If you’ve EVER had even 1 cold sore on the outside of your mouth or on your lips you MUST take Valtrex at least 3 days prior, and 6 days after, getting your lips tattooed. If you don’t- this procedure will trigger an outbreak and will affect healing- so this is very important & very easy to avoid!
Pre Procedure
Lip Blush is a 2-3 step process, you should not expect to see full results after one treatment.
Lip pigment will fade 50% after the first 5 days, and will remain in the ‘light phase’ for a month.
Lip blush is not meant as a substitute for lipstick, but as a natural enhancement to lips.
Note: Lip Blush is a 2-3 step process, you should not expect to see full results after one treatment.
POST PROCEDURE
Day 1: Your skin will start slowly releasing lymph fluid right after your procedure. This is a common healing process for our bodies! Wipe your lips every 1-2 hours in order to remove excess lymph and reduce any scabbing that may occur. Lips normally feel swollen, dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch, they will feel better with each day.
Use wipe provided every 1-2 hours post procedure until bedtime. After your last wipe but before sleeping, apply aquaphor or a healing balm and you’re all set for day one!
Sometimes light bruises may occur, even after the procedure is over. It is normal and will disappear after a few hours.
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A NEW TATTOO AND SHOULD BE CARED FOR LIKE AN OPEN WOUND. DO NOT OVER SATURATE WITH HEALING BALM AND DO NOT LET THE LIPS GET TOO DRIED OUT. Apply after-care balm several times a day for 10 days.
Day 2:
The lips may still be swollen today. Make sure you keep them moisturized with Aquaphor or an aftercare balm (do not apply ice this will cause bruising).
Day 3-7:
Keep moisturizing with aftercare balm as needed! Some flaking or peeling may occur- this is normal.
Important Aftercare Info! - Do this each day from day 1 to day 7!
